It is an election year for the Bands Alumni Association, and we wanted to be sure we provided this information as soon as we knew when Homecoming was scheduled!
Timeline for the 2026 BAA Officer Election Process:
- Electronic Nominations accepted from August 1st through September 24th at 11:59pm EDT
- Nominations close on September 26th during the BAA Annual Meeting
- Nominees announced by September 28th
- Electronic Election Ballots will be live from October 2nd through October 12th
- Elected Officers announced by October 24th
The BAA membership shall vote upon executive officers as nominated from the general membership. To receive your elections ballot credentials, you must be an official member of the BAA no later than 8:00 a.m. EDT on Thursday, September 24th. To officially join the BAA, please visit www.wcupabaa.com, click on Membership, and submit your information.
Voting will occur via electronic ballot. The Director of Alumni Engagement from the WCU Foundation will be facilitating the election. The election will be a closed-list election using a secured elections platform; no one will be able to alter the ballot nor see the results until the election closes.
The election will open on Friday, October 2, 2026 at 12:00 a.m. EDT and will close on Monday, October 12th at 11:59 p.m. EDT. Information about all candidates will be posted in the 2026-2026 BAA Executive Board section of www.wcupabaa.com.
All election results will be announced no later than Wednesday, October 14, 2026.
