It’s been a while since we did a formal update! We have redistributed all of the information we had been putting into the PDF newsletters we were sending out into the website, as this newer platform is much easier to edit and keep up to date. Updates will come as needed and will be posted in the News link on the front page of the website.
Quick Highlights:
-WCU’s Spring Semester begins on 1/24, and the wind band ensembles will start their performances on 2/22 with the Chamber Winds and Concert Band. The concert schedule is in the Events tab in the Bands Alumni Calendar with the times, venues, and livestreaming link.
-Opportunities to volunteer to play in the 6th Man Basketball Band through the end of the Men’s and Women’s seasons are still available! Hover over the Events tab to find the SignUp Genius links.
-WCU Alumni Relations has asked for the BAA to create an Alumni-Ram-Pep-Band once again for the Spring Football Game on Friday 4/28/2023. This will be another pick-up ensemble with undergraduate members joining us. More details are coming as to what we’re being asked to play for before and during the game.
-Your BAA officers and Executive Director meet monthly to keep our momentum growing, have a unified direction, and develop programming and events for concert hall and athletic band Alumni. It’s going to be a great year for the BAA!
